The Congregational Church of Plainville, UCC, meets every Sunday morning at 10:00 AM for Worship year ’round.
Parking is located in one of two parking lots. There is a circular drive off of West Main Street, or Route 372 in Plainville. There is another, larger lot in the rear – or South Entrance – of the Church. This entrance has direct access to our elevator, should you have mobility concerns.
No matter which entrance you use on Sunday mornings, there will be greeters in the narthex as you enter. They will encourage you to sign our guest book, and if you will include your email address, we will send you information about our church on a regular basis – like our newsletter and weekly updates about events and initiatives in the life of the church.
When you arrive in our beautiful sanctuary, you will be greeted by a deacon(s) of our church, and receive a bulletin from an usher(s). Ten minutes before the beginning of the service there is an organ prelude and time for quiet reflection. At 10:00 AM the Minister will begin to lead the service.
Children sit with their parents until they are invited to come forward for the Children’s Message and then they will proceed to Sunday School Classes. Classes are dismissed as services concludes.
Following worship there is usually a coffee hour. Called the “Third Sacrament” by a UCC minister, this provides coffee, tea, juice and water, goodies (some gluten free and without nuts) for those who want to stay a little longer, visit, discuss, plan and get to know one another better.
Whoever you are, wherever you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here.
